Nicholl Fellowship Live Read

Actors Mamoudou Athie, Thora Birch, Jon Huertas and Q’orianka Kilcher will appear in a live reading of selected scenes from 2023’s five winning scripts at the Academy Nicholl Fellowships in Screenwriting Awards and Live Read on April 25 at the Academy’s Samuel Goldwyn Theater.  The program will be hosted and directed by 2008 Nicholl fellow Eric Nazarian.

The Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences and ABC today announced the 97th Oscars® will take place on Sunday, March 2, 2025.  The show will air live at 7 p.m. EST/4 p.m. PST on ABC and in more than 200 territories worldwide from the Dolby® Theatre at Ovation Hollywood.

The Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences has named Bridgette Wilder as its first Chief People and Culture Officer (CPCO), Academy CEO Bill Kramer and Academy Museum Director and President Jacqueline Stewart announced today. Wilder will report directly to Kramer and Stewart.

Actor and entrepreneur Vanessa Hudgens and multi-hyphenate Julianne Hough will host “The Oscars® Red Carpet Show,” the official lead-in to the 96th Oscars on Sunday, March 10, airing at 6:30 p.m. EDT/3:30 p.m. PDT on ABC. This marks Julianne Hough’s inaugural year and Hudgens’s third consecutive year hosting the official pre-show. The 30-minute special will highlight Oscar® nominees, performers and presenters, and provide a multiview experience of the red carpet arrivals, giving the audience every can’t-miss moment from Hollywood’s biggest celebration. Hosted by Jimmy Kimmel, the 96th Oscars will air live on ABC and broadcast outlets worldwide on Sunday, March 10, 2024, at the new time of 7 p.m. EDT/4 p.m. PDT.
